Class Descriptions

BJJ Basics - This is going to be the most beginner level jiu jitsu class and is recommended for all new students to start here. This class will cover beginner techniques and will go the most in depth into details and concepts. There is no sparring in this class, just learning.

BJJ All Levels - While still beginner friendly, this class is more of an intermediate class. We don’t recommend attending this class until you have at least 30 basics classes under your belt. If your schedule does not allow for many basics classes, it is no problem to begin your journey in the all levels class. You’ll get up to speed one way or another! This class does include some sparring although you don’t have to participate until you’re ready to.

BJJ Advanced - In order to attend an advanced class you must have a minimum of 60 basics/all levels classes under your belt. This class assumes you know your fundamentals and will cover more advanced techniques. There is usually at least 30 mins of sparring at the end of this class.

BJJ Competition - This class is for advanced students who participate in competitions. It is focused on competition techniques and strategies and a lot of drilling and sparring.

Freestyle Judo - While jiu jitsu is more focused on what to do once on the ground, Judo teaches you how to get someone to the ground via takedowns and throws and pins. Modern Judo rulesets only allow for throws (upper body attacks) while Freestyle Judo incorporates all types of takedowns including lower body attacks. Judo is a very complimentary sport to jiu jitsu. This class is an all levels class and is beginner friendly. Don’t worry, new students utilize crash pads when drilling takedowns that are like landing on a cloud.
