JIU JITSU FUNDAMENTALS Our Fundamentals program is designed to introduce students to core techniques that every Jiu Jitsu practitioner should know. With this program, students will be able to improve their overall Jiu Jitsu knowledge, increase body movement and agility and learn the fundamentals of self defense and sport Jiu Jitsu. Students will learn attacks, defenses, how to retain common positions, and an introduction to more advanced techniques. This class covers techniques only - no live sparring. All students from white belt to black belt are welcomed to attend. Your journey begins here.
ALL LEVELS JIU JITSU For 1 stripe white belts to black belts, this class covers a wide range of topics from fundamental to Intermediate techniques that anyone can learn from. The program is designed to build upon fundamental techniques and condition students for advanced topics. The class mostly consists of techniques but occasionally students will practice specific training that will give them an introduction to live sparring.
EXECUTIVE JIU JITSU Is the same as the All Levels class, but created for our members with a traditional 9-5 schedule. Class is over at 7:30am leaving you plenty of time to shower and get off to work on time. Although, it isn't uncommon for our morning crew to stay for a few extra rolls after class.
ADVANCED JIU JITSU For 3 stripe white belts and above, this class covers advanced topics in Jiu Jitsu. Students will also get an extensive look at modern Jiu Jitsu and less common situations that could arise. You can expect a good warm-up, drills, technique, followed by rounds of sparring. Sparring is optional for newer students that may want to observe first.
COMPETITION JIU JITSU This class is primarily focused on sparring. Our competition program will prepare students for competition by simulating a real life competition scenarios and increasing conditioning. Students will receive an overview of sport Jiu Jitsu, likely tournament scenarios, rules, point system and how to handle certain situations. This program is our most intense class for our most serious students. Led by world champion Bruno Malfacine, our program is guaranteed to make students feel confident and prepared for their upcoming competition. Students with a minimum of three stripes on white belt to black belt are welcome to attend.
NO-GI No-gi grappling is practiced without the Jiu Jitsu uniform (the gi, or kimono). This class teaches the same Jiu Jitsu being taught in gi classes but is adapted for no-gi situations. Our no-gi program is offered in All Levels, Advanced and Competition classes. Students are recommended to wear a combination of the following: grappling shorts, spats (leggings) and rashguards. Gi pants and tshirts are accepted as alternates. Basketball shorts and other loose clothing are not accepted as they create a risk for fingers and toes to get caught and be injured.
MUAY THAI + MIXED STRIKING Our Muay Thai class is a great workout focused on learning and developing Muay Thai and other standup techniques. It is the fusion of striking martial arts put together into a hybrid dynamic striking style. We do not believe there is one “best” style. Some ideas and concepts that we use to build our style are taken from Boxing, Muay Thai, MMA and traditional martial arts. You can expect to work on combos, defenses, counters, footwork, and forms through drills, padwork and bagwork. All levels are welcome.
KID'S JIU JITSU Our kid's program is designed to help student's build a strong foundation and improve their overall understanding of Jiu Jitsu. They will learn fundamental techniques, coordination drills, and play interactive games. Our program includes teaching kid's how to prevent and defend themselves against bullying and other harmful situations. Kid's who train Jiu Jitsu see positive results in confidence, increased focus, discipline, social skills and overall mental and physical health.
