Brad and his wife Sheila have 3 children and 5 grandchildren. Brad’s son is a Black Belt in BJJ and three of his grandchildren train at Orlando BJJ.. He began his journey in competitive sports in High School Wrestling. He later obtained his Black Belt in Shotokan Karate. At the age 49 he found Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He competed for four consecutive years. During that time he won Four Consecutive World Tournaments and earned 6 gold Medals. The tournaments took place in Brazil and he won Blue, Purple, Brown and Black Belt Master/Senior Division.
Brad proudly received his Second Degree Black Belt from Carlos Gracie Jr. in 2010 and went on to team with Alliance Jiu-Jitsu to further his dream of improving the skills of our sport in FL. Thus, Alliance Orlando was born with the help of Romero Jacare Cavalcanti, Fabio Gurgel and Bruno Malfacine. Brad has a love for jiu-jitsu which is the foundation for the fastest growing martial art in the world.
